Bright lipstick wear it proud!

So I have always been afraid of bright lipstick. I feel that my eyes have been my better feature and if I am going all out with the makeup I always try to play up my eyes more than anything else. I used to do the dramatic eye with the black shadow and eyeliner but somehow fell away from doing that. I still love to play up my eyes do not get me wrong but I do not feel that I need to pair it with nude or just glossed lips. I have been a little behind on my makeup game because I have a whole lot of shit going on in my life right now but makeup puts me in such an awesome mood that lately I am like screw it I am getting more supplies. I cannot afford the high end brands so I am expanding my drugstore brands. I usually find myself playing with my makeup at 9:00pm and try to see what my next day look is going to be. I cannot experiment during the morning because usually I am rushing just to get out the door on time. Most times my 11 year old has missed the bus and my 15 year old has taken up the whole bathroom that it is even hard for me to find a place in there. So I end up booty bumping her out of my way so I can get to my ideal spot in the mirror over the sink. My favorite foundation at this time is the Maybelline mouse foundation. I love the way it feels on my fingers when I apply it and it doesn't make it feel like I have anything on my face. The cat eye mascara just makes my small blond lashes POP! I honestly can go out without wearing any eye shadow just with the mascara on my eyes and feel good. I am wanting to really get into colorful eyeliners. I feel like I have a ton of brown eye shadows in different shades and am really wanting to get into more pinks, purples and blues. Just fun bright colors.I am going to build up a supply of the color tattoo eye shadows and see what magic I can make happen with that. But the main point of this blog which I have completely went away from (have I mentioned I have add) is bright color lipsticks. I am not afraid of them as I use to be, and I LOVE bright pink. I am a very fair complexion girl so pinks look really well with my skin tone. I can't pull off browns but love them on other people. But lately I am really wearing the bright pink lipsticks. My favorite is the Maybelline Color Whisperer cherry on top. That lipstick for me really makes a statement and it is so very creamy and smooth and has a subtle stain to your lips that makes it last a while. So if you struggle with the bright lipstick, girl make a statement! Mine says I am here and in the room and I will be noticed!! Wear it loud and proud. I love my bright ass lips and it brightens up my whole face when I wear it. I have a feeling that I will be the girl in the winter that is wearing her spring and summer lipstick shades.

Naked Mineral Make-up Rivew

I recently contacted Naked Minerals to see if they would allow me to review their product. Well they agreed and I picked the items to review. I picked the dual foundation and bronzer, pink a boo blush and just peachy blush as well as a highlighter. I also picked all three of the lipsticks and a shimmer gloss. I received all of their tools and eyebrow kit, moisture prep and setting spray. I have been using the dual foundation for a few weeks. ( I wanted to get more than just a first impression). I love the coverage of it. When I opened it I have to admit that I was not a fan of the scent but I really do not smell it when it is on my face at all. It gives me a full coverage and I do have some acne and it covers it very well. I have to admit that I have not used the bronzer yet. It is a little dark for me and makes me a little nervous so I haven't played around with it yet. The blushes are not very pigmented and I have to keep putting more and more powder on my brush to get a good amount on. The lipsticks are pretty and they stay on for a few hours at a time but they are very similar to each, there is not much of a pigment change. However I do like the way they go on they are creamy and not sticky in the least. The moisture prep has to be my most favorite thing. It does help fill my pores for the mineral foundation. I have a problem with Bare Minerals leaving me very poresome after applying and all the makeup I have to go over with a cosmetic sponge to even it out and I do not have that problem with Naked Minerals. The blackout mascara has an order I do not care for and it isn't that black. It coats the lashes but I go over it another mascara to give it a pop that I expected with the blackout mascara from Naked Minerals. The setting spray when I received it in the mail the spray pumper was not working properly but they did ship me an extra one and even said that if the bottle was damaged that I would be getting a replacement one. The brush set I haven't really used. What I assume is the foundation brush is very small and soft and I prefer mine to be fluffy and somewhat stiff. I have used the eye shadow brush and I do like that as well as the small eye brush. I used that for eyeliner. I do really like those two.

I would have to say that I do really like a few items that I used but do not think I would purchase them. For the blush I believe that it should be a lot more pigmented and I chose the lightest bronzer and it is way too dark for me to use. While I do think the company is really good with customer service and I did have my package arrive just a few days after putting in my order. But for the price of the items I do not think the quality matches. I believe that some drugstore products work much better than these. However if they do offer more variety of lipsticks that I will be purchasing, and I just might purchase the foundation duo again. But the other things I will stick to the brands that I know and love.
